What do I need to use the service?
You will need a mobile phone with texting capability and a texting plan with your provider.
What does the service cost?
The ACPHS Library does not charge for this service, but charges from your mobile phone service provider may apply.
When is this service available?
The service is available whenever the Lewis Library and/or Information Commons are open.
What kind of questions should I ask through text?
The service is intended for simple, quick questions. Keep in mind that lengthier questions should be directed via e-mail, chat, phone or in-person at the reference desk.
A research appointment is your chance to schedule uninterrupted time with a librarian to receive tailored research assistance. Sessions can include developing research strategies for a specific project, using databases, and identifying appropriate information sources on your topic.
Please note that this service is available for current ACPHS students. To get started sign in with your ACPHS username and password, then select ACPHSLibraries to schedule an appointment with a librarian on the Albany or Vermont campus.

first floor of the Library
Building (formerly the Classroom
Building).
On the Vermont campus the Information Commons is located on the second floor of the Campus Building, Room 211.
