On the Albany campus the Lewis Library is located on the second floor of the east wing of the O'Brien Building. The Reference Desk is on the
right end of the Circulation Desk as you enter the library.
On the Vermont campus the Information Commons is located in Room 101, directly left after the main entrance to the building.

What is ACPLIB Chat?
ACPLIB Chat is Albany College of Pharmacy Library and Health Sciences Chat, a service that offers real-time reference assistance using AOL Instant Messenger (AIM).
What do I need to get started?
If you are new to instant messaging, follow the steps below:

What if I don't want to
download software on my computer?
You can
connect to the web only version of
AOL IM, AIM Express, which requires
no download.
What if I am not on my own computer?
If you have a screen name, you can connect to AIM anywhere online. Just connect to AIM Express, or connect to AIM through Meebo, a Web only client.
How do I begin
an ACPLIB chat session?
Add our screen
name, ACPLIB, to your AOL buddy
list. Double-click on our screen
name, or select New IM and type our
screen name in the To: box.
When is the
ACPLIB chat service available?
The service is
available whenever the Lewis Library is open.
Will a
librarian answer right away or will
I have to wait?
Your IM
session connects you with the
librarian at the Reference Desk. You
may have to wait a couple of minutes
for a response if the librarian is
helping users in person or is on the
phone. Questions are answered in the
order received.
How can I get
assistance if ACPLIB chat is
unavailable?
