Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences students who are registered library patrons in good standing may check out a laptop computer and/or peripherals (i.e. power cords, Ethernet cords, computer mice etc.) from the Lewis Library. Patrons with outstanding fines in excess of $10.00 will not be able to borrow a laptop.
Three-Hour Laptop Loan
Laptops may be borrowed from the Lewis Library for 3 hours. A Valid ID with Library Barcode or a Drivers License must be left at the Circulation Desk while the laptop is checked out. Laptops may be renewed once. To renew a laptop, note the number of the laptop and come to the Circulation Desk. Laptops may not be renewed if another patron is waiting.
Extended Laptop Loan
Extended
laptops loans are coordinated
through the IT Support Center. Faculty and staff in need of a longer loan should submit a request to IT Services through Track-IT.

Network cables, power supplies and mice are also available for check-out. The check-out period for these items is
3 hours with one possible renewal. Please visit the Circulation Desk for assistance.
Return
Computers and peripherals are to be returned on time and intact to the Circulation Desk. The Library is not responsible for files remaining on the disk once a laptop is returned, or for any loss or damage to a user's files during the loan period.
Overdue Fines
Overdue fines are automatically charged to your patron account. Overdue laptop fines of $2.00 or more will prevent patrons from borrowing any additional library materials.

You are responsible for the laptop charged out to you. Laptop computers should not be left unattended at any time. Any loss or damage of laptops should be reported to a library staff member immediately.
Proper Care and Use
